Paraphrasing the main ideas in Malcolm Gladwell's book, The Tipping Point

By Robert Paterson

TF! Editorial Comment: Tipping Point has been a best selling book for many years. It inspired individuals to change their community, city, or country for the better. It is an example of the power of an individual in triggering societal change. The individual, in this case, Malcolm Gladwell, through a gift of simplifying complex ideas and combining them in a new form, gave millions of readers hope. His key insight, that profound social change, can begin in a small way and eventually “tip” to encompass cities and societies encouraged millions to dream and try to create a better world. Many may fail in the effort as it takes a unique combination of inner and outer factors to bring about profound change. But an increasing number of individuals will succeed. And the world will be a different place. - Nicanor Perlas
